Terms of Service

The rules for using ScreenVerb, written to be read.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Agreement

These terms apply when you use the ScreenVerb apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad, ScreenVerb Cloud, the ScreenVerb MCP server, and screenverb.com (together, "ScreenVerb"). By using ScreenVerb, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use ScreenVerb for an organization, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

Your account

Some features need a ScreenVerb account. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity in your account, including actions taken by AI assistants or other apps you connect to it.

Plans and purchases

Plan features, device limits, update periods and prices are described on the pricing page at the time you buy. App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Web and Mac purchases are handled by Polar as merchant of record. Refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple Account settings, and a web subscription from your ScreenVerb dashboard. Usage limits, such as monthly AI requests and cloud storage, apply as described for your plan.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ScreenVerb under these terms and your plan. Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or work around the limits of ScreenVerb, except where the law allows it.

Your content

Your screenshots, text and other content stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide the features you use, such as cloud storage, search, sharing and AI actions. You confirm you have the right to the content you upload or share.

Acceptable use

Don't use ScreenVerb to:

  • break the law or infringe the rights of others;
  • upload or share content that is illegal, harmful or abusive;
  • access accounts or data you are not allowed to access, or interfere with the service or its security;
  • send automated traffic beyond normal use of the apps, API or MCP server.

AI features and connected assistants

AI results are generated by third-party models and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important results before you rely on them. When you use your own API key, your requests go directly to that provider under its terms.

When you connect an AI assistant through the ScreenVerb MCP server, it can access your cloud library within the permissions you approve. The assistant's provider handles that data under its own terms. You can disconnect an assistant at any time from your dashboard.

Changes and availability

We keep improving ScreenVerb, so features can change. We work to keep the service available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these terms; the latest version will be posted on this page with its date, and we will give notice of material changes.

Ending your use

You can stop using ScreenVerb and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

ScreenVerb is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for ScreenVerb in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
